I don't think so ... it seems more medium difficuly challenge + playing it on a Gen 3 game it makes it easier. Also, there's the PokéNav for easier training. In Johto or Kanto it's so hard to train omg. Yeah, PokeNav does make it tons easier, I guess. Not available until after Norman, though, lol. The Slaking of death! Slaking is easy if you use the "Protect, then attack when Truant" strategy.

Slaking is easy if you use the "Protect, then attack when Truant" strategy. I've never liked that strategy. I never use a Pokemon that learns Protect or Detect naturally and it seems kinda cheap... Guess it might be necessary in this challenge depending on how much I level up the team, though. Hopefully not!

You need either to be lucky and pray for crits the whole battle or either overleveled and I hate being overleveled. And if you're playing Emerald you need to be careful for that Linoone with Belly Drum + Facade.

I agree with stealthsniper. Having the starter on your team and not having to use it in gyms seems a bit weird. Might as well just deposit your starter at the beginning of the game. Maybe the starter must be in the first slot of your party at all times? I don't think that would have any bad adverse side effects besides experience balance. Everything else looks pretty legit, though! And difficult... for me at least... lol So do you want me to get rid of the first rule because the only reason I put that rule in is because starter pokemon always seem to be overpowered when they evolved and most people use them on there team. I never said you had to use starter it's optional if you don't like that you can't evolve it then just box it. And I would make that a rule to have it in your first slot at all times but I still want people to be able have a set team and sometimes that doesn't always involve your starter.

Yeah i just mean that there is no point of using the starter if he will be outclassed by your other pokemon once they start evolving. It seems fun though as is. I'll try it once i can get my hands on my compputer!

Mmmmm, naw, don't take it out. I can definitely see your point now, especially when it comes to building teams and . I'll just make it an optional rule for myself. :3
