That's a cool idea. Nuzlocke where you can't evolve your Pokemon. It should be called an everlocke!

Third gen games can't trade online nor can an emulator. It's hard to see how that would work. I was thinking of trading the old-fashioned way, but getting rid of the third rule works for me, too! lol

That's a good idea, but a full Pokedex is sorta already an objective, and most people don't like grinding to find every 'mon in an area :s I reckon you shouldn't be allowed to evolve ANY Pokemon, and see how far you get :') Yeah I know it's a goal so I'm taking that rule out and I don't know about that rule I know people usually have a set team when going into a play through but I will keep the rule of not evolving your starter that's a final rule

How about no using items like potions and status healers? That's a general rule of all Nuzlockes to not use status healers in battles for realism

The only rules of a vanilla Nuzlocke are 1. If a Pokémon fainted it's considered dead and must be released (or permabox it) 2. Catch only the first Pokémon encountered on a route/cave etc. 3. Pokémon must be nicknamed (it wasn't a rule when the Hard Mode, now known as a Nuzlocke, was made)

Jirachi said the item restriction is in the vanilla Nuzlocke and your challenge is a variant of Nuzlocke

I think it's a little bit weird having the first rule because say you just don't use your starter as one of those three? Unless it's necessary to use your starter anyway

Unless it's necessary to use your starter anyway No you don't have to use your starter and one of those three? You mean the gym battles you don't have to use your starter for the gym battles. The reason I added that rule is because I know a lot of people use there starter throughout the whole game.

I agree with stealthsniper. Having the starter on your team and not having to use it in gyms seems a bit weird. Might as well just deposit your starter at the beginning of the game. Maybe the starter must be in the first slot of your party at all times? I don't think that would have any bad adverse side effects besides experience balance. Everything else looks pretty legit, though! And difficult... for me at least... lol

Also, there's the PokéNav for easier training. In Johto or Kanto it's so hard to train omg.
