Haha, okay, honest opinion on Magnemite;
They're not bad. Pretty cute in the Anime at times. Like I enjoyed the one that fell in love with Pikachu and that other episode where there was a whole horde of them that absorbed thunderstorms or something. Pretty cool.
But in game I think they fall into the annoying "overly defensive Steel Type Pokemon category". When plaything through Gen 2 in a kid I don't think I really understood that Magnemite was now also a "steel" type, so I'd use all these different moves and somehow it do no damage. I think Steel types are awkward to encounter when on a standard playthrough anyway...
But other than that, yeah, they're not too bad. I wont be joining their "fan club" anytime soon though.

In the Mystery Dungeon series, being a Totodile, Magnemite is very annoying to face against. Its Thundershock from afar always kills me. But if it's that good, then I'm sure it can be a badass when trained well.
Other than that, does any one of you know MAGNEDETH? You're lying if you love Magnemite more than that guy.
