I'm sure everyone, at least once, has found a Kecleon Shop in a dungeon. And I'm sure sometimes we want to buy something, but to find the price beyond the money we brought. BUT, we could return home safely along with those costly items... How? By stealing, of course.
Stealing is definitely risky in this game. The shop owner brings his friends around to beat you up when you steal, and they're not weak. That doesn't mean stealing can never succeed. Usually, I use the item-pulling Trawl Orb near the stairs, collect the items and make a run for it. These items may sometimes be valuable.
This thread is meant to record everyone's successful stealing attempts and their items. I've successfully stolen three times and my recent one are of four valuable evolution items! Two Metal Coats, one Fire Stone and one Sun Stone! How about yours? :3

It would be amazing if, when you steal a lot, your character appears on the wanted criminal board. Lol

I stole a Max Elixer, Huge Apple, and a TM, and got away using a Pure Seed.

Lol Haha, tell that idea to the Pokémon company. :P Big fat headlines in front of the outlaw board: " 'HEROIC' RESCUE TEAM DESPERATE FOR ITEMS! TRAWLING KECLEON'S SHOP IN EVERY OPPORTUNITY!"" Then an interview with Kecleon himself lol. XD

I used to steal stuff like Joy Ribbons, but now I'm gearing up. The next time I steal from a shop, it isn't for the items. It isn't for the money. It's for a Kecleon. Yeah, I know, low recruitment rate and all that. I've got time to kill, and I have multiple recruitment-chance-increasing items since I'm bound to fail a lot. Save-scumming is also bound to happen. But it'll hopefully be worth it.

If it's possible, then I might as well try. But trying to defeat these multiple Kecleon is also like a suicide mission, so better ready yourself with some Pure Seed or recovery items! But maybe I shouldn't worry if you're a higher level of.... 100? XD

I just keep on battling Kecleons until I faint, equip my duplicate boosting items, go at it again... Once I run out of duplicates, I reset to rewind time back to before I began fighting. Rinse and repeat again... and again... and again... Not having a lot of luck, but then again, I knew what I was getting into before I started.

I checked out Bulbapedia and it IS possible. 0.5% rate for being a level 99-100 and holding a Golden Mask from Zero Isle North...? That is gonna be one heck of a fight, alright. It's like trying to get a shiny Legendary Pokémon. If you didn't tell me, I might still be wondering where to recruit Kecleon, so thanks! And good luck to you!

Nothing really special about Kecleon, other than the Color Change ability. It's more for completion's sake than anything else. Also could pass for a mark of accomplishment.

What kevinb1229 said, it's only for the sake of recruit completion, like a Pokédex, except that it's not really necessary but it's part of the game and Adventure Log completion. But I think once I (if successfully) recruit Kecleon, he'll probably be staying in the assembly forever like all the other Pokémon. XD

Back to the main topic at hand (although if people want to continue this conversation, it's fine by me :) ), I've given up on recruiting Kecleon for the time being... and started stealing again. I have a surplus of Trawl Orbs, and I've been putting them to good use.

How did Kecleon became the most challenging Pokémon ever, haha. That aside, I also have plenty of Trawl Orbs! I'm craving for evolution items to steal, and I said that I have two Fire stones. I'm willing to trade it with someone else who has an evolution item that I don't have. So keep stealing, guys! XP
