I would get it if I had a Wii U. It looks pretty interesting.

I got it day one, and it's been pretty cool. It was a little worse than I expected, though. :(
Er, let me rephrase that. It wasn't as good I thought it would be. But it's still fun enough that I've switched to paying online with it over MK7.
I actually had a party at Mt house the week after, abd for some reason hardly anyone played it. :( And one person female dog'd about it sucked because it didn't have automatic drift. Then she asked if she could switch to soothing that she knew how to play. A.k.a. Mario Kart Wii.
Wow. You do realize this is going to be the next big party game. People didn't live in the past with Double Dash. Besides, Mario Kart Wii is SO LUCK-BASED. I hardly want to go back to that game. The automatic drift system in that game was stupid...

Could you explain how it was worse than you expected without revealing too much? I'm thinking I'm going to wait until December to get a Wii U so that hopefully there will be more games that I'm interested in, and the price will be lower, but Mario Kart 8 is one game I would like to get. I agree that Mario Kart Wii is too luck based though. I don't know how many times I went from 1st to something terrible right at the end of the race. lol.

I went from 1st to something terrible right at the end of the race. lol. I went from last to first, once, with a Bullet Bill at the end of GBA Bowser's Castle. It was so cray. But I agree; way too luck-based. I only played MK8 once in Walmart and didn't even notice there wasn't a selection for auto-drift, lol. I wouldn't mind it being there as an option that you could turn on/off.

I won't miss it. lol.

But I kinda wish it had it for people who suck but love the game. I know so many people who can't finish anywhere but last without it on the Wii, lol.
