I love how the ones people hate the most are from the games I didn't play, lol. And in all my years of owning Ruby, I still haven't played as a girl to see how Brendan is. Is there much difference? There is no difference between them (except, of course, the gender and appeareance).

Definitely Wally for me! I liked how he grew from a weak inexperienced trainer to a really strong one. It was pretty annoying having to battle him as soon as you get across the victory road haha.

I just love Blue, especially after reading the comics. He's just such a badass. Silver is awesome too. My least favorite has got to be May, cause she was a pretty terrible trainer...

i personally dislike how rivals are getting less special, less difficult, and more friendly :/ Silver and blue were always cool and actually felt like rivals. Pretty much everyone else is more like a friend that you have a sporting battle with from time to time and (although i don't think i've ever lost to a rival aside from blue and silver) i don't really feel very motivated to win. They'll be friendly either way. I miss the intense rivalry that used to spark competition and motivate me to surpass my destined rival and become the champion!

Bianca was good comic relief in B/W, and I liked her character, but I would have to agree that she wasn't a very good "rival."
