Yeah, I'm not happy. In fact, I'm still super angry.
Before this announcement, I still used DS and Wii Wifi at least 3 times a month.. Now I have to go back and make sure all of my Pokemon in Gen IV and V are Pokechecked so that I won't have to go back to debating whether I want to transfer or not.
Also, Mario Kart Wii and SSBB communities are going to be enraged. There are still games that I wish had Wifi for a good amount of time, like Sonic colors (Wii,) Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Time/Darkness/Sky, Warioware: D.I.Y. and DIY Showcase, Pokemon Battle Revolution, the list goes on. Seriously, I doubt that Nintendo is paying too much to keep the servers up. They haven't sold enough Wii Us to consider the Wii dead. I sure hope they aren't doing this to focus on the Wii U and getting more people to buy it, because that's just stupid. Nintendo has really grinded my gears lately.

Well, we won't be able to copy them and transfer the via Pokecheck, any more, anyways.

I can't remember if going from HG/SS to Black/White required internet? It required 2 DS systems, but not the internet.

It's just online service for [old, non-3DS] DS and Wii games that is getting shutdown. Nintendo is in charge of this, and most games aren't as active as they used to be online. Although I still don't understand why they want to do this with games like Pokemon, Mario Kart Wii, and Super Smash Bros. brawl, which are still booming, considering that the next gen stuff is either young or is coming out soon, but is not even out, yet. And not enough people have Wii Us to make the communities boom like the other Wii games have been bustling for a while, now.

Does anyone want to try to play Brawl, Mario Kart, or any of the other games that will be affected by the shutdown? I think there is still about 1 week left until the shutdown happens.
